One challenge that I repeatedly confront is a lack of focus and mental clarity.

In my love for knowledge, I often get lost in the fog of excessive information. As the saying goes, “Don’t lose the forest for the trees.”

What to do?

There are many ways to confront this challenge, but I found one in my 40s that has been especially helpful. It is not rocket science and sounds like something a 40-year-old would say, but I’ll say it anyway.

“Go for a 30 to 60 minute walk or run.”

I’m convinced that once I’ve gathered the information I need 1 hour walking is worth 4+ hours at the desk trying to come to a conclusion.
